Our Heritage

Dr. Thomas Allinson set up his first flour mill in 1892 and began to produce wholemeal flour on a commercial basis.

A dynamic and forward thinking individual, Dr. Thomas Allinson was passionate about natural products and had strong beliefs, including the role of nutrition in helping to improve health.

Shortly after setting up his first mill, he started baking superior quality wholesome bread, a tradition we’ve kept alive to this very day.

Allinson Today

Today at Allinson we continue to take pride in our baking and are passionate about creating quality breads, which are not only good for you but which taste great too.

It is this dedication, combined with many years of baking expertise that has allowed us to create a really special range of brown breads.

Allinson breads are batch baked to create a softer loaf and are made with carefully selected quality ingredients. We also ensure all of our recipes are free from artificial flavours and preservatives.
