Back in the Victorian era conservation wasn’t a term you would hear very often. However, nowadays the importance of protecting areas such as wildlife habitats is all too apparent.

Conservation Grade™ is a scheme encouraging farmers to help restore sustainability to commercial farming. By adopting Nature Friendly Farming techniques and giving 10% of their land to create wildlife habitats, they achieve ecological sustainability and protect biodiversity - without affecting their productivity or crop yields.

Nature Friendly farms are typically home to five times more wildlife than conventional farms. This is achieved in a variety of different ways, including growing wildflowers and grasses for insects as well as seed crops to provide much needed food for birds that may otherwise starve during the winter months.
